Introduction:
This booklet is a compilation of organic formulas and ideas I have collected over 20 years of interest in gardening the natural way. Some of these ideas and formulas are hand-me-downs from the old days, and others are adapted from recipes promoted by well-known organic garden promoters, especially Malcom Beck, Howard Garrett, Bob Webster, Jerry Baker and Al Carrell. All are aimed at gardening here in the Texas Hill Country, but many are useful in other parts of the state, too. The contents page can be used as a cross-reference to help you find and decide what formula you think would be best for your particular problem. Howard Garrett's formulas as well as many of the others can be bought ready-made from companies like Gardenville, but this publication is meant more for the do-it-yourself organic gardener.
